These lovely ladies are my golden oldies
As you know, my philosophy of fitness has always been “fitness as a lifestyle”. These ladies represent the epitome of that philosophy. They have
a regular, weekly fitness routine which they stick to… year after year, they train within their fitness level and they join the activities that they like most.
Yes, they have their slower days the same as the rest of us but, they listen to their bodies, taking time off when they need to and push through, challenging themselves when they can, knowing that they usually feel better afterwards. That’s not to say that they won’t complain about how they can’t lift their wine glasses the next day… Nina : ) But that just adds fuel to my fire : ) That confirms that we have challenged the muscle so they can reap the benefits. Others won’t say a word about how they felt because they know it just encourages me … Gill
These ladies inspire me to find fun, functional and creative ways to challenge their fitness levels and keep them strong enough to do the things they love to do in their daily lives.
Many others have been consistently active with me for long periods and I am looking forward to many more. You have worked hard on your fitness level and I thank all of you for including me as part of your support system. It is ALL of you who make my job fun, interesting and possible.
