MELT Method is a very simple self-treatment technique. It is designed to help reduce chronic pain and help you stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. The MELT Method involves using a specialized technique with a soft body roller and four different balls. Practice for just 10 minutes, three times a week and you will begin to eliminate the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living.

The MELT Method is an incredibly effective way to become aware of one's body, to deal with pain, and to maintain a balanced body. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of MELT with my community.

MELT (Myofascial Energetic Length Technique) was created by New York City manual therapist and connective tissue specialist, Sue Hitzmann. The MELT Method uses a specialized technique to help reconnect whole-body communication and rebalance the nervous system. It also helps to rehydrate the connective tissue and release compression in joints.

Meet Valerie : ) Valerie is one of our long time Forever Fit members. I think it's been 4 years since her daughter brought her to Bootcamp. In that time she has become very fit but... she cleans houses for a living.  Cleaning houses all day is like a workout in and of itself. There are a lot of repetitious tasks like wiping counters, windows, furniture. These tasks are taxing on the body, particularly the wrist and hands. This can transfer up to the shoulder, neck, upper back and more.  After one of the Release & Restore classes on Thursday last month, she came up to me to tell me what had happened to her hand.  "I came to class with a sore right hand and swelling in my fingers and joints. My hand when relaxed wouldn't lay open, but was curled almost in a fist, like a claw. I also could not get my ring off ! After Melting we started our core exercises and when I went to "check in" my ring on my right hand was gone. When I found it and went to put it back on my finger I noticed that it was now lose on my finger. When I checked in again, my hand was now almost flat on the floor. Right hand no longer sore and swollen . Today hands and joints feel good and hands even look nicer !"  - Valerie Duncan.
I never get tired of hearing really great testaments like this. This is not an uncommon story I hear on a fairly regular basis from people who use the MELT method. Love it!
