MELT’s Creator - Sue Hitzmann
MELT (Myofascial Energetic Length Technique) was created by New York City manual therapist and connective tissue specialist, Sue Hitzmann. The MELT Method uses a specialized technique to help reconnect whole-body communication and rebalance the nervous system. It also helps to rehydrate the connective tissue and release compression in joints.

What a Difference One Melt Session Makes!
This is Diane, a Forever Fit member who is dedicated to her health and fitness. Recently Diane attended the Melt Method Clinic where we learned the Full Foot Treatment, the Full Hand Treatment and the Face Treatment.
The picture on the left is Diane checking in before Melting her feet, to get a sense of how her body feels before she Melts. The picture on the right is Diane checking in after Melting our feet, sensing the changes. What changes can you see? Notice the position of the stripes on her shirt, the position of her left hand to her right hand, the position of her left/right shoulders. When you look at her hands, can you see that in the after picture on the right, her fingers are more open/relaxed. Keep in mind that we did nothing to our hands or upper body between the first picture and the second picture. As well, if you look at the wrinkles in her pants, you can see that they are much softer creases in the after picture.
I"m alway stunned to see such profound changes in the body after Melting. Here's what Diane said, "I was noticeably more balanced in my shoulders and could feel how my head and upper body/shoulder girdle area were better aligned and more relaxed!"
Melt techniques are not magic, nor is it a gimmick. We simply use a small ball to manipulate the tissue to bring more fluids in to juice up the cells, to give us more range of motion, better balance and stability. We have more connective tissue/fascia, than any other material in our body. When stress build up in the body the connective tissue becomes dehydrated, therefore, we have a reduced range of motion and ability to balance. The body will then find compensatory ways to move the body which then increases the aggravation and... pain.
Aging is inevitable but how we age is a choice. If we are going to tax our bodies with work and play and we want to age well, we need to maintain the complicated machine we call a body.
