Release and Restore offers a variety of techniques to help you release and relax tight muscles, improve balance, posture, mobility and stability. Our bodies are meant to move efficiently and easily into older age, and a daily Somatic Movement practice prepares us to move with strength, vigor, and stamina. This 60+ minute session combines, MELT Method techniques, Somatic movements and an array of other movements to mobilize the joints, release muscles and restore hydration into the body for more ease of movement and balance. If you are looking to recover from an injury, improve your fitness performance, posture or just feel better, this class is for you. You might even leave a little taller 🙂
What is Release & Restore?
Release & Restore will include a wide variety of movements on a mat to help mobilize your joints, soften your muscles and hydrate the tissue. The goal is to give your body optimal opportunities to move more freely with a greater range of movement. Mobility increases your potential for stability which increases your potential for strength, power and and active lifestyle. You will see and feel the results from this class in one session.
Using a variety of techniques to release and restore mobility, stability and flexibility. Some of these techniques include the MELT method and Somatics movements.
The MELT method is a simple self-treatment using a small, soft ball and/or a very soft roller to help rehydrate the connective tissue to give us more mobility, reduce chronic pain and help us stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. MELTing helps reduce the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living.
Somatics is as series of neuromuscular movements that relieves chronic pain
and prevent recurring injuries by re-educating the nervous system. Somatics involves gentle movements to relieve chronic muscle and joint pain, restore natural posture, retrain muscular patterns, alleviate common musculoskeletal conditions, and prevent recurring injuries.
Stability and mobility are the cornerstones of Functional Movement, Releasing tight muscles and connective tissue improves mobility and stability. Without mobility, you have poor stability.
Who Should Attend?
We all need mobility and stability. Some need it to improve their athletic performance. Some are motivated to reduce pain and some of us need it to improve the quality of our daily movements.
