Wow! There really is a magic pill! : ))) Not really, but this new research from Lund University in Sweden says there is a special mixture of dietary fibres found in barley, that can lower blood sugars, increase good bacteria and improve digestion.

Researcher Anne Nilsson says the fibres in the barley kernels can also help reduce people’s appetite and risk for cardiovascular disease. This is great news for people with diabetes and potential heart problems but also for those of us who want to manage our weight. Balancing the blood sugars reduces the potential for fat storage. Barley is rich in vitamins and minerals and appears to be able to improve your metabolic health in rapid fashion. According to Anne Nilsson, another hormone that is released reduces chronic low-grade inflammation.  This is not new either, I found other articles dated over a year ago.This is amazing!  Lose weight, help people with heart issues and diabetes and reduce inflammation???? How did we not know about this fabulous information before???
